Who is Rachael Lane?

I’m so glad you asked! When choosing an interior designer, it’s important that you feel comfortable working with them. So, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am a wife to a college math professor (over 21 years and counting!) and a mother of 4 teenagers (yes, you may feel sorry for me). I am also an experienced customer service specialist and a business owner, and my business is being passionate about making a house a home!

I grew up in farm country in Michigan, began my married life in rural Pennsylvania, and have been raising my family for the last 19 years in beautiful Pensacola, Florida. Each phase of life—along with continual education and the privilege of working with many clients—has helped develop my passion and designer’s eye for creating a beautiful and functional home.

Of course, the word home means something different to each of us, and it brings out different emotions in each of us. Interior design is about more than just transforming a space into something that is beautiful and functional; it is also about bringing out those emotions. I can’t count the number of times I’ve heard someone say, “I know what I like. I just don’t know how to put it together.” That statement tells me that my client knows exactly what emotions and feelings they want when they walk through their home. And that’s where I come in—to help guide my clients through a simple and stress-free design process to create their dream home.
